Accountability Lab is pleased to announce that is has been selected as a host organization for the Think Tank LINKS (Leaders, Innovators, and Knowledge Sharing) Fellowship – a program run by Atlas Corps and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), with the support from the National Endowment for Democracy.
This fellowship is an opportunity for talented young professionals from developing countries to shadow leading organizations in the U.S. for six months, beginning in January, and to conduct research in issues of democratic or economic reforms. In addition to hands-on experience working with and learning from the Accountability Lab in DC, the fellow will receive training, public speaking, and networking opportunities from the Atlas Corps. The fellow matched with the Lab is Narayan Adhikari, a Nepali development and anticorruption practitioner who works for the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF) and has already played an invaluable role in developing and supporting Accountability Lab Nepal’s Accountapreneurship projects on the ground. Narayan also has experience as a founding member of Global Youth Anti-Corruption Network, founder of Citizen Action, Executive Director for Youth Initiative, and project manager for Handicap International.
As a Think Tank LINKS fellow, Narayan will help research and support the Lab’s programs in Nepal and Liberia; mobilize the local Nepali diaspora on accountability issues in Nepal; and contribute to internal management, including strategic growth and change of the organization. The Lab’s Executive Director Blair Glencorse commented, “Narayan has an incredible ability to build connections and to develop innovative solutions to the difficult challenges that his country faces. We are very grateful to Atlas Corps for this opportunity to exchange knowledge and best practices with him here in DC.”
