Accountability Lab runs the Good Governance Heroes campaign in Somaliland in partnership with the Institute for Strategic Insights and Research. The campaign is a storytelling initiative to amplify the role of active citizens and encourage proactive, positive collaborations with government officials. The campaign also aims to create a socially-conscious generation of young people who embody the values of integrity and ethical behavior in their work. We aim to publish inspiring stories about community activists as well as changemakers from inside and outside the government who are pushing for better governance outcomes.

There are many stories of Somalilanders who selflessly served their community and are focused on being part of positive social changes. From stories of individuals who are addressing concerns that can affect health, security, and climate change to employees within organizations who are influencing policies, The Good Governance Heroes campaign aims to shed light on these stories and share them with the public to raise awareness about the importance of the values of integrity and transparency.
