Accountability Lab in partnership with The Philadelphia Citizen, an innovative non-profit media outlet that combines solutions-oriented journalism with specific calls for civic action and WURD Radio, the only African-American-owned and operated talk radio station in Pennsylvania, ran the inaugural Integrity Icon Philadelphia 2020 campaign with SEAMAAC and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey to name and fame the best of Philadelphia’s public service.

Our 2020 winner are Shaquita Smith, a Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for the School District of Philadelphia; Tom Quinn, a Social Studies teacher at Central High School and the Organizer of Philly Youth Vote!; Carlos Aponte, a History Teacher at One Bright Ray Community High School, a school for over-age and under-credited students, and the president of We Love Philly; Richard Gordon, Principal of Paul Robeson High School in Philadelphia; and Dr. Ruth Abaya, Pediatric Medicine Physician and Injury Prevention Program Manager at Philadelphia Department of Public Health and a Stone Lee Fellow.
