Sameer Khan

Sameer Khan is a Mass and Media Communication graduate with a strong portfolio working in the non-profit sector with different national and international organisations. He recently won a campaign to project soft images of minorities in Sindh by the US Embassy. He is interested in story telling and mobile journalism, particularly producing more creative content whilst highlighting social stories and local community issues. His incubator idea is to document local stories of minority groups and to promote local products.

Sisasenkosi Mataruse

Sisasenkosi Mataruse is passionate about advocating for substantive and effective women political participation through her organization Women Belong. She is currently working with women on combating gender stereotypes faced by women political leaders, women political aspirants and generally women and girls in her community in Seke Rural and Chitungwiza in Zimbabwe. Through her incubator project, Sisasenkosi seeks to emphasize that female dignity is no longer about how cultural a woman is but more of how much a woman can exercise her political rights as well as benefit from proper service delivery.

Catherine Ugochinyere Stephen

Catherine Ugochinyere Stephen is an Education Counselor and women's advocate based in Abuja. She is also a member of the Young African Leaders Initiative Network and likes to counsel children and adolescents. Through the incubator, Catherine is building Cathy Ventures, an anonymous accountable platform that can raise tuition for children from poor backgrounds who would otherwise not be able to access education. Anne Obode

Anne Obode is an entrepreneur, startup business coach, speaker, blogger and podcaster based in Abuja. She is also the founder of the SecureMe initiative that aims to use digital methods to solve the problem of insecurity in Africa. Through the incubator, Anne is developing an application called Secureme.ng that will combat crime in Nigeria by using technology to enhance the means of communication between victims of crime and the police. The impact of this project would be increases in both the levels of security in Nigeria and accountability on the part of the Nigerian Police.

Ezekiel Opeoluwa Oyeyemi is a social entrepreneur and climate change advocate based in Kwara State. He is the Chief Executive Officer & Founder of the social enterprise Freedom Recyclers. Through the support of the incubator, Ezekiel aims to use climate change awareness and sensitization of the youth in his community to promote a sustainable COVID-19 recovery that benefits both the people and the planet through the circular economy. Moses Albert is a child protection and welfare expert and a social entrepreneur based in Edo State. He has a passion for community engagement and awareness campaigns. He is currently supervising the Living Your Dreams Initiative, a project that focuses on protecting the rights of children. He is also a Co-founder of the Icare African Initiative. Lilian Elochukwu Efobi is a Lagos-based advocate of quality education for all, good governance, accountability, transparency, and youth inclusion in the governance process. Through the incubator, she is developing the Governance Barometer Project, a monitoring and evaluation mechanism which will collect and measure data that contributes to the overall national development of Nigeria. Through her Governance Barometer, she will measure the performance of elected political leaders and appointed public servants through certain defined metrics.

Yusuf Temilola Nurudeen

Yusuf Temilola Nurudeen is Senior Associate at the Legal Hub Partnership in Lagos. He is also the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum, Ikeja Branch, where he administers the implementation of ideas and policies related to capacity development, mentorship, and the welfare of 500 young lawyers. Through the support of the incubator, he is developing The Pro Bono Centre, an initiative that provides pro-bono legal services to victims of injustice including those who have been wrongfully incarcerated.

Rachel Affiong Umoh is a psychotherapist, counselor, disability advocate, humanitarian aid worker and a freelance journalist with freedom radio in Kaduna State. She is also the founder and CEO of TWIM (The Wonder In Me) an NGO that supports the rehabilitation of the most vulnerable including persons with disabilities (PWDs), internally displaced people and persons living with psychological disorders. Through the incubator, she is developing a project that will increase access to participation in elections for PWDs in Nigeria.

Ibrahim Muazzam Shehu is a certified teacher, activist, gender advocate, and policy ambassador based in Abuja. He is the founder of Society For Gender Equality, Educational Advancement & Struggles Against Educational Injustices. Through the support of the incubator, Ibrahim plans to keep using his organization to carry out COVID-19 awareness campaigns and distributing essential supplies such as face masks to vulnerable communities.
