Accountability Lab ran the Integrity Icon Philadelphia campaign in partnership with The Philadelphia Citizen, an innovative non-profit media outlet that combines solutions-oriented journalism with specific calls for civic action, and WURD Radio, the only African-American-owned and operated talk radio station in Pennsylvania.
Our winners included Shaquita Smith, a Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for the School District of Philadelphia; Tom Quinn, a Social Studies teacher at Central High School and the Organizer of Philly Youth Vote!; Carlos Aponte, a History Teacher at One Bright Ray Community High School, a school for over-age and under-credited students, and the president of We Love Philly; Richard Gordon, Principal of Paul Robeson High School in Philadelphia; and Dr. Ruth Abaya, Pediatric Medicine Physician and Injury Prevention Program Manager at Philadelphia Department of Public Health and a Stone Lee Fellow.
